Dmitri von Klein

I was born in Siberia, raised in East Germany, and later the American Southwest. I received a Bachelor of Arts with emphasis on history of photography from the University of Oregon.

My fascination with history and the passage of time has led to a lifetime of photographic exploration and discovery. A photograph is a fragile and yet tangible thread that traverses time and space, bridging now and then.

It is this connection between then and now that enriches our understanding of human experience. It offers the possibility of discovering who we were, who we are now, and more profoundly, hints at who we may become.

Over the years I have collected a number of photographs that I am now cataloguing and sharing here.
